Did you play in the band in elementary, middle or high school and enjoy the positive, long-lasting impact of music education in your life? Are you looking for a wonderful place to donate an unused instrument that is just collecting dust?
Did you know that you can donate a piano to San Jose Jazz as a charitable contribution? SJZ works with Mark Stevens Fine Pianos in the handling of these assets. Donors will receive a letter from us, along with an appraisal from the appropriate party. To make a donation, please contact Misa Wong at misaw@sanjosejazz.org.
San Jose Jazz believes that arts education is an equity issue. With your donations, we look to secure enough instruments to continue to provide a free instrument to all students that want to participate in Progressions, our highly praised music program in the Franklin-McKinley School District, as it returns to in-person instruction.
We accept all instruments in playable condition. However, we’re especially in need of the following instruments. All instrument donations are tax-deductible:
Don’t have an instrument to donate? No problem. We also need financial support to offset the cost of refurbishing and maintaining the instruments. Make a contribution online now.
To donate an instrument, email Gurpreet Pannu to make arrangements for pickup or dropoff.
Subscribe to our updates and you’ll be the first to know about coming performances, special events and happenings in San Jose's arts and culture community.
