Winter Fest History

In 1986 SJZ started producing Sunday afternoon jazz concerts in the winter time and in 2013 we transformed in into Winter Fest.


While Winter Fest was conceived as a reflection of Summer Fest, with its diversity of music types and audiences, it has always had a special bent towards experimentation by innovative artists pushing the boundaries of what jazz can be. In the last seven years, Winter Fest has presented artists like José James, Gilles Peterson, Thundercat, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Robert Glasper Experiment, Vijay Iyer Trio, Diane Schuur, Taylor McFerrin, Kendrick Scott, Kris Bowers, La Santa Cecilia, Mark Guiliana and many more.
