For a special New Works Fest 2022 performance on International Jazz Day, San Jose drummer Sylvia Cuenca performs her Jazz Aid Fund-commissioned work "Resiliencia" and other material with great group of Bay Area musicians including fellow 2022 Jazz Aid Fund grantee Patrick Wolff and special guest percussionist Will Martins. The San Jose Jazz High School All Stars will perform a 45-minute set at 6pm, with Sylvia Cuenca Group taking the stage at 8pm.

Sylvia is an active drummer on the New York and San Francisco Bay Area music scenes and has performed and toured with the likes of Billy Taylor, Eddie Henderson, Gary Bartz, Kenny Barron, Marian McPartland and Gregory Porter.
