Jesse Fischer is an award-winning pianist and composer based in Brooklyn, NY.  Known for his warm, soulful touch and emphasis on melody, groove, storytelling and  emotion, his unique voice combines elements of modern jazz, hip-hop, Americana,  music of the African diaspora, and his own Jewish heritage. A recent awardee of the  South Arts Jazz Road grant, as well as American Music Abroad finalist and three time ASCAP Plus Award winner, Fischer has performed with many notables in the  jazz, pop, and world music scenes, including Charlotte Dos Santos, Léon Phal, Sarah Elizabeth Charles, Melanie Charles, Takuya Kuroda, Lakecia Benjamin, and Deva Mahal. He has released several records as a leader, most recently Resilience (self released, 2020), which PostGenre called “One of the best jazz albums of the  summer of 2020”, and the Herbie Hancock/Head Hunters remix project Vein Melter (Tru Thoughts, 2015), created jointly with producer/multi-instrumentalist Sly5thAve. He  is also a core member of the groundbreaking Brooklyn Afro-pop/jazz fusion collective  Ajoyo and producer & engineer of their sophomore release, War Chant

Fischer has brought his unique voice as a composer and bandleader to stages around  the world. With over 1.3 million streams on Spotify to date, his music has been featured  on Spotify’s flagship editorial playlists like State of Jazz, Butter, and Fresh Finds,  Apple Music’s playlists Jazz Currents and On the Corner, NPR’s New Music Friday,  as well as taste-makers like Gilles Peterson (BBC Radio 6), Anthony Valadez Jeremy Sole (KCRW), and legendary bassist/producer Marcus Miller (Sirius/XM), to  name a few. 

Ever prolific and versatile, Fischer also has many years’ experience as a producer and  songwriter in the jazz, pop, R&B, and singer-songwriter genres. Fischer’s credits as a  producer, engineer, and songwriter include Nadia Washington, Jasmine Cephas Jones,  Samora Pinderhughes, Braxton Cook, Godwin Louis, Morgan Guerin, Justin Brown,  BIGYUKI, Morgan James and many others. Fischer’s remixes for artists such as Emily  King, Space Captain, Gregory Porter, Bryony Jarman Pinto, Curtis Nowosad, and  Hiatus Kaiyote have been spun on dancefloors and parties all across the globe, from  Singapore to Amsterdam to Cape Town, and on radio including NTS, Brownswood  Radio, The Lot, and Worldwide.FM. He is also a passionate educator with experience  teaching music and music production to young people of all ages, in both a private and  classroom setting.

Our popup venue and video recording studio that we've developed in our offices at 310 S. First (map) at San Carlos in San Jose’s SoFA District. The technology of the space is first-class with marvelous sound, lighting and video, and all the action is projection-mapped to a 35′ X 14′ bank of windows, providing the show free to the public and enlivening downtown street life.
