Big Trippin': DYKSJ in District 3 - San Jose Jazz

Big Trippin': DYKSJ in District 3

Do You Know San Jose?
Fri, Sep 16
5pm Doors/DJ; 7pm showtime (Pacific)
Free Event / Raymond Bernal Park

Originally created as a three-piece concept band by Giulio Xavier Cetto and drummer Thomas Pridgen, Big Trippin has grown into a five–six piece collective with some of the Bay Area’s most talented artists including saxophonist John Palowitch and MC Wonway Posibul. The group now pushes the boundaries of rock, hip-hop, funk and jazz, while also throwing in original compositions by Giulio. These vibe masters specialize in getting a party started, and keeping the energy high for improvisers, MC’s and dancers alike.

San Jose Jazz’s series of live music events exploring the iconic and special places of San Jose returns, with four shows on consecutive Fridays starting August 26. This time out, we’re exploring the beautiful parks of Downtown San Jose’s District 3. Open spaces are always a great destination for walking, picnicking and family fun, but we’re rolling out the SJZ Boombox Truck with great free live music, DJ openers from The Changing Same crew, a food truck, beer garden and vendors to turn the park into a party from 5 to 8:30pm.
